Dear Ms. Ellis:

Thank you for your email relative to the hunting and trapping of bobcats in Pennsylvania. I wholeheartedly agree with your position. I also believe this animal is not plentiful and should not be hunted in Pennsylvania.

I have sent a letter to Mr. Vernon Ross, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, on March 24, 2000 regarding my opposition on bobcat hunting. I’ve asked the Game Commission to provide a response as to why this hunting practice was resumed.

Thank you again for expressing your thoughts to me. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me.

Sincerely,
Richard A. Tilghman

Dear Ms. Ellis:

Thanks for your recent email on the subject of bobcat hunting. I appreciate knowing of your opposition to the Game Comnmission's decision to allow limited bobcat hunting in Pennsylvania.

As a result of this action, I have co-sponsored legislation that will be introduced by Rep. Gaynor Cawley which will place a three-year moratorium on the bobcat hunting and trapping season. The moratorium, if passed, will give us more time to study the issue.

Please feel free to contact me in the future on this or any other state related matter.

Sincerely,

Connie Williams
